HONOLULU (AP) — Jurors have found a man guilty of attempted murder for a Kapolei shooting.

HONOLULU (AP) — Jurors have found a man guilty of attempted murder for a Kapolei shooting.

The Honolulu prosecutor’s office says Matthew Chung was found guilty Thursday.

Police said after last year’s shooting that Chung fired shots that injured a man in the chest and arms.

Honolulu Prosecuting Attorney Keith Kaneshiro says it was a difficult case to take to trial because everyone involved used crystal meth.

Kaneshiro says the case shows how dangerous the drug is.

Chung is expected to receive a life sentence, with possibility for parole. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in December.
